Matt Hardecke is a part time cow/calf operator in South East Missouri. His operation consists of Angus Semimetal cattle. Calves are backgrounded and marketed at 650 lbs. Matt’s professional career is a loan officer and branch manager for FCS Financial out of Farmington MO. Matt assists local cattle operations in maintaining profitability and viability. Matt is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Agricultural Business Management. Matt’s graduate work is at North Carolina State University in Agricultural Economics. Matt is a director and Treasurer for the East Central Cattlemen’s Association and works with local businessmen to promote locally raised beef. Matt is a director of the MU Ag Alumni Association which provides scholarships for Agriculture students and raises funds for classroom technology at the College of Agriculture Food and Natural Resources. Matt is active in supporting many local and regional charities and agricultural related organizations. His goal in the Beef industry is to grow his own operation and give back to the Beef Industry to improve the economic vitality of tomorrow’s producer.
